Recently, we have been hearing from our Vermont manufacturers that this kind of approach is all well and good when you have the people, time and the ability to cover for training. Many of Vermont’s smaller manufacturing operations lack that coverage and time and it prevents them from fully participating in traditional learning approaches.

VMEC is now offering a “fish for you” service for SMMs, Small to Medium manufacturers.  We know that it’s impossible for many operations to engage in long-term training/ improvement programs, so we will work with your company as if we were an employee for a period of time to improve operations and solve problems. In short, we provide fish for the period you need the help and by working with others on the job, we get the work done and the approach is seen and learned by your colleagues we are working with.

We have already seen keen interest from the SMMs and we have several projects underway where VMEC experts are embedded and doing the work with the client’s operation teams. This service has addressed an unmet need in the market by adapting a traditional belief and approaching the need from the client point of view.
