Create a successful ISO Audit Team in 2 Days! An effective Internal Audit program is an important component in maintaining your ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). In addition, customer satisfaction, continual improvement and product conformance are predicated on predictable, stable, and repeatable processes. Well trained Internal Auditors provide objective evidence and proof of conformance by using time and resources wisely to support the Internal Audit function. This course is designed to transfer the skill required to conduct Internal Audits that support the organizations’ needs and requirements to customers and is also designed to increase your understanding of auditing techniques and will take you step-by-step through the stages of an internal audit from audit planning to closure and follow up.
Training Overview – NOTE: both days of the training must be attended
- Understand quality management definitions, concepts, and guidelines
- Understand the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard
- Understand the roles and responsibilities of the auditor
- Apply ISO 19011:2018 – Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems
- Understand the types of risks and opportunities associated with auditing
- Recognize the principles, practices, and types of audits
- Conduct all phases of an internal audit adopting a risk-based approach
- Prepare and present effective reports
Who Should Attend? Those employees who must perform audits to ISO 9001:2015, which includes quality assurance professionals, ISO Project Managers, management representatives, new and experienced Internal Auditors and quality professionals.
Instructor David Lambertson has over 35 years of experience in Quality Management and Management System implementation with focus on Management Systems auditing, Quality System design, Quality Assurance management and Systems Engineering. In-depth experience at NASA, DOE, NNSA, FAA and private sector clients such as Raytheon (RSC, RE&C), Orbital Science Corp (OSC) and Carrier Corporation with the development, implementation, and adherence to Policy Directives/Requirements, statutory and regulatory standards and the ISO/AS Standards. His company, Qualitec Consulting LLC, provides Management System implementation, audits and training for federal and private sector clients in the development of Quality Management Systems in compliance with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 and develops quality documentation for these systems.
