Randolph Center, Vermont – The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) is sponsoring two special “Innovation Engineering Express” events on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Burton Snowboards in Burlington, Vermont. Well known international innovation expert and entrepreneur, Doug Hall, will be leading and teaching at both events.

“Innovation Engineering Express” is an inspiring, live demonstration event that lets you see, feel and experience what it’s like to be part of a high performance innovation team that can outpace the competition in today’s fast-changing world.  It provides an overview of 4 semesters of Innovation Engineering content in just 4 hours.

According to Patricia Giavara, VMEC Assistant Director and Innovation Engineering Black Belt, “Continuously introducing new, meaningfully unique, products and services faster than the competition is critical in today’s fast-paced, internet-driven business world.  The Innovation Engineering Express event will be a high speed introduction to how the Innovation Engineering operating system helps companies go faster  – –  accelerating the fuzzy front end with 7X more “big” ideas, accelerating disruptive LEAP innovations, increasing speed of development by up to 6 times, running cycles of quantitative research in minutes and hours not weeks or months, writing provisional patents in about an hour, and accelerating internal and external collaboration.”

Innovation Engineering is about applying the discipline of engineering and systems thinking to innovation. It teaches business leaders a proven, systematic approach for Increasing the Speed of Innovation (up to 6X) and Reducing Risk (30 – 80%), leading to more profitable growth. Now recognized as a new field of academic study, Innovation Engineering is being referred to as a new “operating system” to help manage organizations. The Innovation Engineering body of work has a breadth and depth that is so ‘meaningfully unique,’ it is being taught on and/or off-campus by more than 20 Universities, being offered as an Undergraduate Minor, a Graduate Certificate and as an Executive Education program.  VMEC is one of the early Innovation Engineering “Pioneers,” helping to introduce Innovation Engineering to Vermont companies and organizations as far back as 2006.

Innovation expert Doug Hall is the Founder and CEO of Eureka! Ranch and the Innovation Engineering Institute. Doug is a highly respected innovation leader who is deeply committed to helping American businesses and organizations succeed in today’s global economy.  For more than 25 years, the Eureka! companies through their corporate consulting group have served Fortune 500 clients such as: Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Ford, HP and American Express.
