VMEC News Release – VMEC Hires Two Advisors to its staff 

Randolph Center, Vermont –  The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) is pleased to announce the addition of Howard Switser, Professional Manufacturing and Business Growth Advisor, and Christopher Coulter, Advanced Manufacturing Technology Advisor, to its staff.

Howard began his new role at VMEC in May with 25 years of Vermont manufacturing experience including: Manufacturing Manager for Galvion (formerly Revision Military), Process & Production Improvement Specialist Manager, Safety/ Environmental Manager and Production Manager for Jeld-Wen and Plant Manager for NSA Industries and Carris Reels. His background in leading and training using Lean Manufacturing methods and systems will help Vermont companies see and solve problems that reduce cost and gain process efficiencies. Christopher joined VMEC in June, bringing with him an extensive new product development and manufacturing technology implementation background having worked in regulated industries including defense, medical device and FDA.  He has a thorough understanding of quality management systems, design controls and good manufacturing practices.  For fifteen years he owned and operated Adaptive Engineering, LLC, a consulting company focused on assisting Vermont-based product development and manufacturing organizations.
