VMEC News Release – VMEC Releases 2022 Impact Report

VMEC, Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center, has released its annual impact report.  As the only singularly-focused resource for manufacturers in Vermont, VMEC is the official representative of the MEP (Manufacturing Extension Partnership) National Network in the Green Mountain State. Since its inception over 25 years ago, VMEC’s federal partner, NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, has used an independent third-party organization to conduct surveys of VMEC clients as well as other MEP Centers across the US and Puerto Rico.

Vermont Talent Pipeline Management (VTPM) and Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) have teamed up to advance employer-driven workforce solutions. The partnership represents a dedication to manufacturing as a critical sector requiring focus to build capacity and efficiencies in talent sourcing and developing essential skills.  VMEC is now the host organization of Vermont Talent Pipeline Management for the Manufacturing Sector.


VMEC News Release – VMEC Board Member Elections

The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has announced the results of its December 6, 2022 annual election of VMEC Advisory Board members. Newly elected to the VMEC Advisory Board for two-year terms were Melissa Bounty, Assistant Director, Central Vermont Economic Development Corporation (Montpelier) and Cristin O’Donnell, Director of Training and Development, Cabot Creamery Cooperative/ Agri-Mark Inc. (Waitsfield). Dr. Parwinder Grewal, Ph.D., President, Vermont State University (Randolph Center) was designated an ex-officio Advisory Board member.

The Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) has announced the results of its December 9, 2021 annual election of VMEC Advisory Board members. Newly elected to the VMEC Advisory Board for two-year terms were Janette Bombardier, P.E., Chief Technology Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Chroma Technology/ 89 North (Bellows Falls) and Gina Akley, President, Trow & Holden (Barre).
